Ahhh, Saturday
I've had a great day so far, definitely. Stayed in bed later than usual this morning and snuggled with Shaun, which was super nice and comfy. I played a little bit of DDR - we're currently renting Disney Dance Grooves for the Wii. It's mostly fun; my only complaints are that the song selection is very limited as compared to other DDR games and although it is awesome that you can use your Mii and she can wear costumes, there is no costume for Belle (my favorite Disney princess!). As far as DDR games go, though, it is fun, although not nearly as challenging as a "regular" DDR game. After that it was time to make lunch: teriyaki chicken strips, cauliflower dumplings and deviled eggs. Shaun is working today, so Kim and I brought him lunch. After that I came home and looked up Induction-friendly recipes online. I then got sucked into various low-carb forums and websites and learned a bunch of stuff that I didn't know. Like how when Dr. Atkins passed away, the Atkins diet books that were published after that were changed in various ways, and not for the better. I also learned that you aren't supposed to heat flax seed and that you can make mock pumpkin cheesecake in the microwave. I'll let you know how that tastes.
For now, though, I'm waiting for dinner to finish cooking (Cheesey Turkey Broccoli Casserole) and for Shaun to get home so we can eat it. Then we'll be going over to a friend's house for some hanging out and roleplaying fun.
On a side note, Shaun and I went to the Chapman wedding reception yesterday and had a blast. Had a "Fun Day" of sorts with regards to what we ate; the consequence for me was that I gained 0.7 lbs. Not the worst, but not the greatest. The way it's been going on Induction, though, I'll be able to lose that in a day; two days at the most. Huzzah!
